Grapevine Lake Bike Trails

Bring your reels and wheels and spend the day in this 188-acre park, which features a fishing lake and 8 miles of mountain bike trails. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, but it also features a beginners or child’s trail named Hayden’s Loop! The lake also has a ramp for non-gasoline powered boats. This trail is great for birding, fishing, and mountain biking.
Ruby Lafoon Cabin

Governor Ruby Laffoon Cabin

Tour the cabin where Kentucky’s 43rd governor – the man who initiated the state sales tax and made Harland Sanders a Colonel – was born. Originally constructed in the mid-1800s, this relocated and restored cabin is furnished with period pieces. It features an original 1910 Buick Buggybout – one of only three left in the world! Right next door you can take a tour through the Hopkins County Historical Society Museum which showcases the region’s coal industry, political history, lifestyles, and more.
